Don't wanna be an American idiot. Don't want a nation under the new mania And can you hear the sound of hysteria? The subliminal mind fuck America.
Welcome to a new kind of tension. All across the alienation. Where everything isn't meant to be okay. Television dreams of tomorrow. We're not the ones who're meant to follow. For that's enough to argue.
Well maybe I'm the faggot America. I'm not a part of a redneck agenda. Now everybody do the propaganda. And sing along to the age of paranoia.
Welcome to a new kind of tension. All across the alienation. Where everything isn't meant to be okay. Television dreams of tomorrow. We're not the ones who're meant to follow. For that's enough to argue.
Don't want to be an American idiot. One nation controlled by the media. Information age of hysteria. It's calling out to idiot America.
Welcome to a new kind of tension. All across the alienation. Where everything isn't meant to be okay. Television dreams of tomorrow. We're not the ones who're meant to follow. For that's enough to argue.

If you haven't seen the movie "Philadelphia" you must go watch it tonight! One of Tom Hanks' best acting performances.
Lyrics:
I was bruised and battered, I couldn't tell what I felt. I was unrecognizable to myself. Saw my reflection in a window and didn't know my own face. Oh brother are you gonna leave me wastin' away On the streets of Philadelphia.
I walked the avenue, 'til my legs felt like stone, I heard the voices of friends, vanished and gone, At night I could hear the blood in my veins, It was just as black and whispering as the rain, On the streets of Philadelphia.
Ain't no angel gonna greet me. It's just you and I my friend. And my clothes don't fit me no more, I walked a thousand miles Just to slip this skin.
Night has fallen, I'm lyin' awake, I can feel myself fading away, So receive me brother with your faithless kiss, Or will we leave each other alone like this On the streets of Philadelphia.

By now everyone has heard the latest news the GOP health plan that was supposed to replace Obamacare fell through the cracks. While many can argue that the GOP's plan was terrible and would result in millions of Americans losing coverage, it goes far beyond that. It goes beyond being a win for the Democrats.
In the aftermath of the bill's defeat, President Donald Trump did not look good. He certainly did not handle himself in away a leader should carry himself when a bill he supports gets defeated. Instead of taking the moral, political, high-ground "we're going to look into this bill and see where we can strengthen its weaknesses but we will be back," President Trump went on the offensive.
He blamed the GOP's bill on the Democratic party and went further elaborating when Obamacare fails it will be all the Democrats fault.
Oh President Trump boy do you have a lot to learn about leadership. First, although Obamacare was created and passed by a Democrat, but it doesn't mean if it falters it will be the Democratic party's fault. If one were to place blame, it would be on who is currently in office. It is your job as the leader of this nation to make sure things don't fall through the cracks and in the occurrence somethings do fall, it is your job to accept responsibility. That's what a leader does.
A leader steps up, accepts responsibility and makes sure it doesn't happen again. One of the best examples is former President John F. Kennedy after the failed Bay of Pigs invasion. At the time President Kennedy was barely in his fourth month as President with a very veteran staff that he was relying on. That was his downfall. He relied on his staff too much.
Just because Kennedy had experience in Robert McNamara as Secretary of Defense and Dean Rusk as his Secretary of State, it doesn't mean they are controlling what's going on. Kennedy still had to make the decision. This didn't happen with the Bay of Pigs. He relied on his staff telling him what to do instead of him making the decision.
But Kennedy learned from his failures in the Bay of Pigs. A little over a year later he had another chance when CIA learned the Soviet Union were building and storing missiles on the Communist island of Cuba - 90 miles from Key West. Kennedy didn't make the same mistake he didn't push the red-button, he called the Soviet Union's bluff and ended up coming out on top.
Going back to the failed GOP healthcare plan this is not the end. It is only the beginning and it's not about healthcare. It's about can President Trump look at this situation and be self-reflective? Ask himself the question "what did we do wrong and how can I correct it?" If he can truly do that and rectify his shortcomings then things will work out but if he can't then it will be tough for all parties involved. Only time will tell.
Lights out tonight, Trouble in the heartland, Got a head on collision, Smashin' in my guts, man, I'm caught in a cross fire, That I don't understand, But there's one thing I know for sure, girl, I don't give a damn For the same old played out scenes, Baby, I don't give a damn For just the in-betweens, Honey, I want the heart, I want the soul, I want control right now, You better listen to me, baby
Talk about a dream, Try to make it real You wake up in the night, With a fear so real, You spend your life waiting, For a moment that just don't come, Well, don't waste your time waiting,
Badlands, you gotta live it everyday, Let the broken hearts stand As the price you've gotta pay, We'll keep pushin' 'til it's understood, And these badlands start treating us good.
Workin' in the fields 'til you get your back burned, Workin' 'neath the wheels 'til you get your facts learned, Baby, I got my facts Learned real good right now, You better get it straight, darlin' Poor man wanna be rich, Rich man wanna be king, And a king ain't satisfied, 'til he rules everything, I wanna go out tonight, I wanna find out what I got
Well, I believe in the love that you gave me, I believe in the faith that can save me, I believe in the hope and I pray, That someday it may raise me Above these badlands
Badlands, you gotta live it everyday, Let the broken hearts stand As the price you've gotta pay, We'll keep pushin' 'til it's understood, And these badlands start treating us good.
For the ones who had a notion, a notion deep inside, That it ain't no sin to be glad you're alive I wanna find one face that ain't looking through me I wanna find one place, I wanna spit in the face of these...
Badlands, you gotta live it everyday, Let the broken hearts stand As the price you've gotta pay, We'll keep movin' 'til it's understood, And these badlands start treating us good.
