BLOG: #DoSimpleBetter

Did you ever notice the last two Patriots Super Bowl victories the biggest compliant against the their opponents was 'why didn't they run the ball?'

All Pete Carroll had to do was run the ball. Turn around and hand it to Marshawn Lynch. There is a reason his nickname was Beast Mode. He was the best running back in the league when he was playing. He probably could've stuffed it in from the one yard out.

Then in this year's Super Bowl after Julio Jones makes that amazing catch, the Falcons only needed a field goal to seal the game. Couple quick hand offs to the running back then let Matt Bryant kick it through the uprights for comfort.

But no! That's way too easy! Both Pete Carroll and Kyle Shanahan wanted to get cute with the plays which only ended horribly, horribly, horribly bad for them. Butler's interception and Dont'a Hightower's strip sack of Matt Ryan.

Falcons, Seahawks all you had to do was RUN THE BALL! It was that basic.

So remember folks when it comes to doing something that is really simple, don't try to re-create the wheel. Just "run the ball."
