Video of the Day: How A $40 Late Fee Revolutionized Television

Netflix: How A $40 Late Fee Revolutionized Television
Business Casual

"Blockbuster's" refusal to partner with Netflix early was the beginning of the end for the big brick-and-mortar video rental company. This is why it is important to always stay ahead of the technological curve - you never know when you're going to be replaced.

In the world of college athletics, Statcrew started to see it beginning last year when the NCAA partnered with the more user-friendly, GeniusSports, in basketball. They will be rolling out soccer and volleyball in fall 2019, followed by football and eventually the rest of the sports. Statcrew saw this coming and upped its cost-per-sport to $400 - making it virtually impossible for smaller Division III schools to keep updated versions of the software.

The key in is "give the customer what they want before they know they want it." It's the Steve Jobs/Apple philosophy.
